Sitara Indian Bistro is the culinary vision of two passionate professionals — Chef Vempati Venugopal and Restaurateur Reddy Metta — whose combined 30+ years in hospitality bring authenticity and excellence to every guest experience.
Chef Venu, with nearly a decade of hands-on kitchen experience across India and Canada, has honed his craft in Indian, European, and tandoori cuisines. From working in luxury properties like Ritz-Carlton and Marriott to leading kitchens in BC, his approach blends tradition with creativity, earning him a reputation for soulful, flavourful food.
Mr. Reddy, a seasoned hospitality veteran, brings over 20 years of leadership in managing and operating Hotels and restaurants, including well-known chains like Leela palace, Sheraton, Hyatt, White Spot and Nando’s. He’s also the owner and operator of Yolks Breakfast and Little Donkey Mexican Fusion restaurants. His operational excellence, deep knowledge of global cuisine, and commitment to guest satisfaction are core to Sitara’s success.
